a grumpy cat…

Recently I have noticed a big ginger cat is often sat outside my house and is often sat outside of the window close to where I work, he clearly is grumpy, he kind of stares then does a runner, he also has a big grey (also grumpy friend) who often is 10 paces behind him….

Garden drawings…

I am still working on the online course i mentioned in my previous post, run by The Design Garden – see link on right hand side of blog. A different feel to what I normally do, a set of garden inspired drawings. It is great to learn new things and be able to apply those techniques to your work 🙂 xgardendrawings-sallypayne

I have neglected my blog recently, too many things on the go!

I visited London for a couple of days- great city so much to see. We visited the Tate Modern, New Designers, The V&A and lots more, crammed in a lot! New Designers was a highlight. We visited in the first week which was graduates from Textile/Fashion courses. The work was such a high standard, I could of spent a lot longer there as there was so much to see!

A little montage of my pics..

I am squeezing in an online course which was recommended to me a while ago and I was just waiting for a run of time that I thought wouldn’t be so busy – turns out I am busy so trying my best to keep up with the work. It is a really great course which is about hand drawn vectors and using illustrator to convert your drawings to vector. The course is run by a freelance graphic designer called Sabina, she runs The Design Garden which offers a range of  courses. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to learn more specialist techniques. Just sharing some of my early bird drawings which is part of one of the assignments. Click on the link on the right hand side of my blog which will take you to the course info page.
